Do we need resources?
A security guard’s job is mostly information processing (detect threats, in this case). In rare cases he/she will produce energy (push somebody, for example)
This is a general trend: humankind is becoming less and less dependent on energy and material resources, and more on information, which is unlimited. What will the future be like?
