Is man good or evil?

How important is to have the correct answer to the primordial question “is man basically good or evil?”.
To me, the most promising answer is the Catholic one “Man is good by design, but some primordial damage has left him somewhat weaken in his ability to do it right. This weakness is curable only with the help of the other fellow man”
Revolution is out. Innovation is in
/in Bullets /by Bobby A LopezI want a complete different world from which we live in. In the 19 century lots of people wanted to change the world, and opted for the “revolution:” replace, at once, old structures by new.
But this implies an overconfidence in their intelligence, as they feel able to design a better world just their minds.
And, although the results of these revolutions were mostly good, they were not the intended ones, and the cost was unbearable.
The new way to promote the betterment of the World should not be the revolution but the “innovation through experimentation”; a more humble approach that resembles how Nature improve itself through evolution: mutation and selection, trial and error.

La democracia es la creencia de que el manejo de la comunidad debe ser delegado a expertos, a políticos profesionales, que cuentan con el apoyo de partidos, de estructuras de poder. Pero el manejo de la comunidad es algo tan connatural al hombre que nunca va a estar satisfecho con lo que otros decidan por uno. La democracia, entendida como delegar la vida comunitaria a otros, es un engaño.
Y si dirigir la comunidad es algo tan complicado que no lo puede hacer la gente, sino que necesita profesionales para tomar decisiones, entonces debemos pensar si la comunidad no se ha hecho demasiado grande, y debemos dar el paso a un nuevo localismo.
