Why Carbon allowed Life to appear

Why Carbon allowed Life to appear

Carbon is the life forming molecule because it has an amazing ability to bind to itself in a variety of ways and form estructures. Life emerged because some molecules developed (thanks to Carbon) sun-antennas, to grab energy from light.
It is of no surprise, then, that men, united to other men, can, and in fact are, again, transforming the Earth.

I love Modernity

I love Modernity

Altough my self-imposed intellectual mission is to help the pass away of Modernity, I do appreciate the great contributions of Modernity (the discovery of the invidual, as the atom of the spiritual world; and the power of reason to organize the material world). I believe, however, that Modernity is a page that need to be turned already.
This world of the 21st century (and beyod) desperately needs some of the good things that lay in a non-atomistic worldwiew. Let’s go for it.

Greece: a recession lasting 2,300 years

Greece is a history rarerity: after blossoming the most influential civilization in the 5th century bC, felt in a soft but continuous recession that is lasting 2,300 years, and counting. No country should rest in laurels.

Enough History of Governments

History we study at schools is 95% history of governments (kings and wars). Our fixation with power has prevented us from learning the important things form the past

Renaissance began in 1200s

The Renaissance didn’t start in 1400s but in 1200s. The arts that blossomed in the 1400s are a manifestation of changes in worldview in 1200s, delayed by the Black Death of 1300s

Long Live Dictators of the World

20 and 21th century history taught us that, forcing a dictator out by the international community, is worst than suffering him. The power vacuum makes the people more miserable than the iron fist. Only each nation can get rid of its own tyrants, when they feel the time has come.

Evolution for humans is over

Life = evolution; except for humans in the future. Why? Darwinian evolution = random mutation + natural selection. But, after the appearance of the human mind, no mutation has enough power to influence the survival of this specie. Freedom is now determining the progress or decadence of humankind. For humans, evolution has turned into History
